Scarf Workshop

On Saturday, March 23rd, guild members will be holding a workshop on painting silk scarves. This will be held at Steele Memorial Library In Elmira in conjunction with the Women in The Arts Month. Pre-registration is required by calling the library .

Shown are a few scarves done at our guild meeting. Mainly we wanted to test the process and find out which colors floated on the silk well and which did not. We found that some of the colors also split as can be seen with the light green. All good things to consider when planning our projects.

The flower pot design on the middle scarf in one of the photos was done by an 8 year old. So truly it is something anyone can do.
