The annual guild picnic at Tanglewood Nature Center was held in early July. Guild members enjoyed great food and company in a beautiful setting. Shown below is a photo of a pond near the picnic pavilion.

Later in July guild members were back at Tanglewood Nature Center, this time for an afternoon with girls attending the Meg Lowman Day Camp. The girls learned the process of sun printing. They also learned how to weave ribbons around lavender stalks for lavender wands. A photo below shows the sun printing projects drying in the sun.

There will be no guild meeting in August

Guild will next meet at the Benjamin Patterson Inn on September 7th, 10 am – 4pm for their annual Whingblinger event. We will be demonstrating carding, spinning, weaving, flax processing and more …
