Sue’s Shawl…

Some photos of a shawl a guild member recently finished.   Sue spun the yarn and then wove the shawl, her first attempt at weaving a shawl, all on her own.   Nice job!

We had a good turnout even with several members missing and even though we didn’t have time to send out notices to prospective members who signed our mailing list on Farm Day at the mall.

Several members brought baked goods, cold drinks were provided as it was a hot day.

We got through a lot of guild business, memberships, dues, record keeping, officers, newsletters and more, the most important being that …  We have a meeting place!…

Not having had a response from possible locations, we continued to look for a place to meet. Several suggestions were made which would allow us to have a permanent meeting place and a back up meeting place.  After the meeting we visited one of the places and we really liked it a lot, nice neighborhood,  off street parking, great looking facility with room for a lot of people.    Special thanks to Judy B. for suggesting this location.

Next meeting will be on Saturday, Nov 3rd, 2007,  1-4pm.  Directions to the new location will be posted as soon as the address has been verified.   We will be contacting everyone on our sign up sheets soon by mail, phone or email.

More guild info be posted on this page before the next meeting.

We will be discussing progress on finding a permanent place to meet, goals for the group, etc..  Please bring something to work on or show others.  Also come with any questions or ideas for our guild, we have a lot of things to discuss!
