Monthly Meetings: - Time: 1-4pm, First Saturday of every month unless a special event is announced on this website. - Place: Bethany Lutheran Church 256 S. Walnut St. Elmira, NY From the East: take Church Street west until you reach Walnut Street. Turn left and continue on Walnut street, going over the bridge where it becomes S. Walnut. From the West: take Route 352. You will drive through Big Flats, Town of Town of Elmira where it becomes Water Street. Continue till you reach the city of Elmira and shortly after Walnut Street. Turn right unto the Walnut street Bridge. Continue on S. Walnut, the church is about 2 blocks past the bridge. From the South: directions to follow… Please Note: This is not the place we have been meeting. We needed a larger place and so are trying this one ’on for size’. Please note that the church is on one side of the street, the parking lot is across the street, directly across from the front entrance. For loading/ unloading supplies or someone being dropped off, there is a ‘loading’ area on Decker Ave, on the left side of the church when you are facing the church. There is a side entrance going directly into the meeting room. There is also some side street parking on either side of the church.
I just found your blog and am interested in becoming a member. In October I purchased my first flock of 12 sheep. 11 of them are Corriedale and Corriedale/Dorset crosses and one is a Cotswold. They were just sheared a few weeks ago. I would like to learn about spinning and knitting. I can do basic crochet, but that is it.
Thanks,
Heather
Greetings. I have returned home from Lousianna after assisting my daughter and her military family after their deployments. While there, I learned much about spinning and now have a Majacraft Rose spinning wheel.
I’d like to attend the guild meeting and begin to learn more about all aspects of fiber art. I do basic knitting, crocheting and now spinning on a spindolyn. My ultimate goal is to be a proficient knitter, spinner and weaver and to spin flax.
Please keep in touch.
